Hello, families and friends!
We know we haven’t posted in a while, but we are all having a lot of fun! We’ve been out and about in Mindo, town of chocolate and adventure.
Here are our students learning how the cacao is processed, fermented and dried in order to make amazing chocolate.

Afterwards we headed out to our hotel for a well deserved rest in the hot tub!

The next morning we visited the Mariposario of Mindo (Butterfly Conservatory) where we were able to hold and feed the most beautiful and colorful butterflies:


After lunch, we embarked on our first adventure, tubing! Here’s a picture of the United Llamas floating down the river:

We wrapped up the day at “Fuera de Babilonia” restaurant were we learned how to make empanadas and Quimbolitos, a traditional Ecuadorian dessert wrapped up in a banana leaf:
